Little House on the Priarie House

Penn State is back in action and on the road this Saturday... all the way out to Minnesota!

Minnesota is a state I've not had the pleasure of ever visiting, but it does have a very special place in my heart:  Walnut Grove, the banks of Plum Creek and Little House on the Prairie!!!

So, when it came time to plan this Saturday's Penn State/Minnesota tailgate menu, I decided to skip the Swedish meatball, pickled herring and smoked salmon w/mustard-dill sauce recipes.  I took the opportunity to do something I have been meaning to do for a very long time now:  develop a recipe for cinnamon chicken... and I'm here to tell you I am Penn State Proud of this recipe... you won't find it in any cookbook, or  a version quite as authentic and keeping with the time period of it on the internet either (until today)!!!

That's our Jerry!!!

True story, I saw Jerry at the PSU/Notre Dame game in South Bend, with a PA state senator, wearing a Notre Dame shirt! I said "you are an Italian from PA"!

He was an awesome teacher and a great guy, fantastic coach although he was no longer coaching at my HS when I was there, just teaching.

Glad to meet you letsgopsu! Jerry is my husband Joe's first cousin. They were raised a mile or so from each other and are very close. Jerry was just here in State College, for the PSU-Temple game, and he and Joe and a fun visit. Jerry is a hoot in general, but a REAL HOOT when it comes to football! Great to hear from you!!! ~ jessedotsmom.

Hi! I am known as letsgopsu on BSD. Jesse had mentioned family in NEPA and since I saw your last name I have to assume you are related to Jerry Preschutti? He was my favorite teacher in high school.
