~ Nana's Applesauce-Oatmeal-Raisin-Walnut Cake (A Short Video/Slideshow, 00:58) ~

PICT1106 Today was a dark, dreary day in Happy Valley with a lot of thunderstorms.  I had planned to run errands, but the pelting rain changed my mind to "stay inside" mode.  I decided to make the most of it and amused myself by baking one of my oldest recipes.  This dense, moist cake, served slightly warm tonight for dessert, made us forget all about the chilly rain.  To view a short video/slideshow:
